Overview
Redevelopment of a former wildlife park to provide one new highly sustainable eco house, along with the conversion of two existing Grade II listed buildings providing a total of three new homes within the Peak District National Park.
We secured planning permission for the eco house on the basis of extensive enhancements to the site, including from landscape, heritage and biodiversity.
Given the importance of the landscape within the National Park, planning permissions for new build dwellings are limited, however we included plans to regrade the landscape back to its original profile with the new house positioned within the regraded levels, thereby minimising the visual and landscape impact of the scheme.
Spring Planning coordinated the team to pull together a robust justification for the scheme which went on to be approved at the Planning Committee.
