Overview
Extensive additions to an existing Grade II listed farmhouse located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Green Belt. The scheme includes an extensive basement and replacement of significant elements of the listed building.
Spring Planning successfully secured planning permission and listed building consent for a scheme with a complex setting.
Our team researched the original 1948 building, creating a strategy with the architects which reflected the historic form of the buildings on the site, and maximising additional floorspace. We also pulled together a team of expert consultants to advise on various aspects of the scheme.
We developed the strategy to gain permission, working with the wider consultancy team to demonstrate that the scale of the proposals was acceptable in terms of the balance of additional floorspace and volume on site.
